Scenario of the emerging shift from gasoline to LPG fuelled cars in Ghana: A case study in Ho Municipality, Volta Region

The shift to LPG as fuel for automotives is on the rise worldwide. LPG in Ghana is heavily subsidized because Ghana’s policy for LPG focuses on mainly domestic purposes. This paper presents a scenario of the conversion to LPG from gasoline and diesel in Ho, the capital town of the Volta Region, Ghana. The author recommends the formulation of a coherent autogas policy to ensure availability and effective pricing in order for government benefit from this phenomenon.
